"The Wood Pigeon" is born from a partnership that has developed between GIIFS[1] and OMPO. This monograph is the second of the series "Birds of the Western Palearctic".
To run through this natural history, the authors fed their reflections out of all available scientific knowledge on the dove, along with some some unpublished data collected from as far as the borders of Russia by the network of scientific partners of OMPO. In addition, they took advice from many international experts.
The ambition of this book is to enlighten without concession the current status of the Wood Pigeon across its vital area as well to lovers and experts of this migratory bird as to decision-makers likely to serve its sustainable management and conservation.
This book is thought to offer to the reader a new view on the evolution of a wild species in our environment, a resourceful species facing the constraints of modern times.
This book is available in French, at a price of € 20 (postage & package included)
